Since I’ve started sewing a few months back, I’ve been obsessed with details in garments. The seams. The lining. The fabric. The little pleasures in clothing we’ve long forgotten.
This and escaping the fast-fashion trap is why I’ve decided to start buying quality, long-lasting pieces. Pieces that would give me the wonderful pleasure of looking at perfect seams while being gentler on the world. Away with the frayed, hastly finished edges of fast fashion; let us have clothes that are constructed to last.
The quest to find a better wardrobe, I assume, will be hard and expensive. This is why reviewing the brands I find, the pieces I acquire, and even maybe the clothes I sew seems helpful. It will make the next person’s job of finding a nice wardrobe a lot easier.
Here we go then.
